Together with the Clinical Sleep Solutions, we have decided to host an ongoing free forum for sleep apnea patients to discuss with fellow patients their experiences and concerns.
We have joined the A.W.A.K.E. Network, as the first member in British Columbia .
A.W.A.K.E., an acronym for “Alert, Well, And Keeping Energetic”, was founded in 1986 to:
a) meet the needs of persons diagnosed with sleep apnea
b) provide information about the disorder, diagnosis, and treatment
c) provide support to those who want it
There are approximately 200 A.W.A.K.E. groups across the USA and Canada .
Our goal is to improve the quality of life for those affected by sleep apnea. We intend to attract members to our local chapter, and hold monthly meetings that will provide educational materials, an opportunity to discuss the personal topics associated with sleep apnea, and an opportunity to socialize with other members.
First on our list of topics for the next seminar is Nutrition and Exercise, and how to eat, sleep, and feel better every day. We invite you to join us at these ongoing free forums, which are designed to meet your needs.
